My advice? Use the test as a stretch. Your ultimate goal is to get the shaft to lay parallel when rotating either wrist both directions.
Turn and hold with each rotation. To further ingrain hitting up on the ball with your driver—and add big-time yards in the process—try the following drill.
Tee up a ball and set an alignment rod in the ground about ten yards in front of you; set the rod on your target line.
Next, lay an iron on the ground in front of the ball and one behind the ball. Position the clubs on the ground so that they point about 20 degrees to the right of the rod photo below.
